Winter Health and Wellness Tips

Happy Thanksgiving!

‘Tis the season to be busy: shopping, entertaining, probably overeating with friends and family. You may also be feeling extra pressure to be somewhere, find the perfect gift, or plan the perfect party, adding stress into the mix.

This is also the season to double-down on your health, and remember to include self-care. Here are a few tips to keep calm and healthy while still enjoying one of the best times of the year:

  • Meditation: Reduces stress, lowers blood pressure, calms the mind, etc. Studies show it also reduces COVID symptoms. Some studies show it lowers the chance of getting COVID.
  • Dietary supplements: Vitamins C, D, probiotics, quercetin, and echinacea, etc., to ward off colds, flu, and COVID.
  • Wash/disinfect hands frequently: With everyone traveling and gathering, it’s important not to skip this step.
  • Exercise: Walk in nature, go to the gym, ride a bike, play a sport with friends. However you do it, it’s important to get out and move. Not only is it beneficial for your body, it boosts your mood.
  • Self-care: Take time just for you. Read a book, go for a sightseeing drive, sit at the beach or park, relax in a scented bath (yes, men can do this too!), get a pedicure (also something every man should get at least once), get a massage, etc. Choose a few activities that are just for you, and make you happy. Then do them because you deserve it.

As always, I’m here if you need me for an adjustment.

I wish you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving!

Stay well adjusted,
