T8 and T9 and their connection to immune function and stress

Continuing our review of the spinal column, today we'll be covering T8 and T9. (If you missed the previous newsletter on T6 and T7, you can find it here.)

T8 and T9 vertebrae are part of the mid-thoracic spine, located just below the shoulder blades. When properly aligned, T8 and T9 help support healthy digestion, liver detoxification, and energy balance.

  • T8: To spleen, stomach, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, adrenal cortex, small intestine, pyloric valve
  • T9: To adrenal cortex, pancreas, spleen, gallbladder, ovaries, uterus, small intestine

When either T8 or T9 is misaligned (subluxated), it can irritate these nerves, potentially leading to symptoms like:

  • T8: Reduced immune function, fatigue, mid to lower back pain.
  • T9: Weakened immune system, increased stress, high blood pressure, and chronic fatigue.

Restoring proper alignment helps optimize the function of these important organ systems.
