The Secret Benefits of Exercise

You've heard me say this before, but it can't be said enough - The benefits of strength training go on and on, but here are 10 at the top of the list:

  • Improved bone health
  • Better cardiovascular health
  • Increased energy levels
  • Lower abdominal fat
  • Improved mood
  • Better flexibility and mobility
  • Elevated body image
  • Enhanced brain health
  • Longer lifespan
  • Burn more calories at rest

These are all wonderful benefits, but one that gets overlooked is the improved ability to recuperate from injury or illness. When I see patients who are fortunate enough to keep their weight down and their strength up, good things happen.

This is another reminder– you can do it.
