Stay Well-Hydrated

A Spinal Column

Summer is upon us and it’s a great time to hit the water to cool off, just play around, or to exercise. Maybe you can jog on the beach or take a short walk. People have always been drawn to water – both for survival and recreation.

Not surprisingly, well-hydrated joints are less likely to cause pain. The same goes for well-hydrated muscles. One of the signs of heat exhaustion is muscle or abdominal cramps.

So drink plenty of water and go enjoy a local beach or pool – you won’t regret it. (As long as you don’t forget the sunscreen.)

I’m here when you need me.

Smile and be well,

Dr. Dan’s Thought…

– In a 100-year period, a single water molecule spends 98 years in the ocean, 20 months as ice, about two weeks in lakes and rivers, and less than a week in the atmosphere.

– Of all the water on the earth, only 2.5% is fresh water, and only 1% is drinking water.

– Human brains are 75% water and human bones are 25% water.

– You can live about a month without food, but only about a week without water.
